Tiga ruas jalan utama sepanjang jalur Pamegatan hingga Cibalong ditetapkan sebagai prioritas penanganan, menyusul banyaknya titik rawan longsor dan kerusakan yang kerap menghambat mobilitas warga.<\/p>\n<p>Komitmen tersebut terlihat saat Bupati Garut Abdusy Syakur Amin bersama Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kabupaten Garut, Agus Ismail, melakukan monitoring langsung ke Kecamatan Banjarwangi, Singajaya, Peundeuy, dan Cibalong, Sabtu (31\/1\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Agus mengungkapkan, ruas Pamegatan\u2013Singajaya sepanjang 23 kilometer menjadi fokus utama penanganan awal. Di jalur ini, Dinas PUPR akan memprioritaskan perbaikan titik longsor, penguatan tembok penahan tanah (TPT), serta pelebaran bahu jalan demi meningkatkan keselamatan pengguna jalan.<\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu, dua ruas lainnya, yakni Singajaya\u2013Toblong sepanjang 10 kilometer dan Toblong\u2013Simpang sepanjang 13 kilometer, saat ini masih dalam tahap pengajuan untuk mendapatkan dukungan program dari pemerintah pusat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJadi setidaknya kita mulai melakukan berbagai persiapan. Seperti yang diarahkan Pak Bupati, bagaimana kita memenuhi kriteria yang dipersyaratkan Kementerian PUPR dalam rangka pengajuan IJD atau Infrastruktur Jalan Daerah,\u201d kata Agus.<\/p>\n<p>Ia menambahkan, penanganan infrastruktur jalan di wilayah Garut Selatan dirancang secara bertahap dan berkelanjutan. Dinas PUPR memproyeksikan perbaikan besar pada tiga ruas jalan tersebut dapat terealisasi secara menyeluruh pada tahun 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Sembari menunggu realisasi program utama, pemerintah daerah tetap melakukan langkah-langkah teknis awal, seperti pembenahan drainase dan mitigasi bencana di titik-titik rawan longsor yang kerap terdampak cuaca ekstrem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarapannya ini menjadi perhatian kita bersama. Tidak hanya soal badan jalan, tetapi juga kesiapan infrastruktur penunjang lainnya, sehingga kawasan ini lebih aman dari bencana dan akses masyarakat bisa terjaga,\u201d jelas Agus.<\/p>\n<p>Pemkab Garut berharap, peningkatan kualitas jalan di Garut Selatan mampu memperlancar konektivitas antarwilayah, membuka akses ekonomi, serta mendorong percepatan pembangunan di kawasan yang selama ini masih
