GOSIPGARUT.ID —<\/b> <\/span> Kepolisian Resor Garut mengungkap kasus peredaran dan penyalahgunaan narkotika, psikotropika dan bahan adiktif berbahaya (narkoba) dengan 23 tersangka selama September-Oktober 2024, namun 18 tersangka masih proses penyidikan, karena lima tersangka sudah dilimpahkan ke Kejaksaan.<\/p>\n

“Ke-18 tersangka yang masih disidik itu rata-rata berasal dari Garut semua, ada yang mengedarkan, mengonsumsi, juga kurir, sebagian besar memang wiraswasta dan pekerja,” kata Kepala Kepolisian Resor Garut AKBP Mochamad Fajar Gemilang saat jumpa pers pengungkapan kasus narkoba, Senin (4\/11\/2024).<\/p>\n

Ia menuturkan Satuan Reserse Narkoba Polres Garut selama September dan Oktober 2024 melakukan operasi pemberantasan narkoba sebagai tindak lanjut dari program kerja pemerintah pusat.<\/p>\n

Selama operasi itu, kata Fajar, mampu mengungkap kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba sebanyak 13 kasus dengan jumlah tersangka 23 orang, namun tinggal 18 orang yang masih dalam proses penyidikan, sedangkan lima orang sudah diserahkan ke Kejaksaan.<\/p>\n

“Polres Garut menyita barang bukti berupa 177,05 gram sabu-sabu, 4,78 gram tembakau sintetis, 56 butir ekstasi, dan sejumlah obat keras lainnya,” ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Kapolres menyampaikan, dalam kasus pengungkapan narkoba tersebut yang cukup banyak yakni jenis sabu-sabu jika diuangkan sekitar Rp170 juta sampai Rp200 jutaan.<\/p>\n

Telah terungkapnya kasus penyalahgunaan narkoba di Garut itu, kata dia, artinya kepolisian sudah menyelamatkan lebih dari 130 ribu jiwa warga Kabupaten, dan telah menghentikan peredarannya dengan menangkap para penjualnya.<\/p>\n

“Dengan digagalkannya kasus narkoba ini dan obat keras terbatas ini dapat menyelamatkan generasi bangsa, khususnya Garut dari bahaya penyalahgunaan narkotika dan zat adiktif lainnya,” tutur Fajar.<\/p>\n

Akibat perbuatannya itu seluruh tersangka mendekam di Rumah Tahanan Polres Garut untuk menjalani proses hukum lebih lanjut, dan menelusuri lebih jauh siapa saja orang yang terlibat dalam peredaran narkoba itu. Tersangka dalam kasus narkoba dijerat Pasal 111, 112, dan 114 UU RI Nomor 35 Tahun 2009 tentang narkotika dengan ancaman hukuman maksimal penjara seumur hidup atau hukuman mati.<\/p>\n

Selanjutnya bagi pelanggaran terkait psikotropika dan obat-obatan terlarang dijerat pasal 62, 60 (15) dengan ancaman hukuman penjara hingga 15 tahun dan denda maksimal Rp10 miliar.<\/p>\n

Tersangka dengan kasus obat-obatan terbatas dijerat Pasal 435, 436 Undang-undang Nomor 17 tentang Kesehatan dengan ancaman pidana maksimal 12 tahun penjara atau denda Rp5 miliar.<\/p>\n

Kapolres mengimbau seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk bersama-sama memberantas penyalahgunaan narkoba dengan segera melaporkan apabila mengetahui atau mendapatkan informasi adanya narkoba di lingkungan sekitar.<\/p>\n
