Mega Febrianora, Sp.JP(K), FIHA, FAPSC, CRFC mengatakan perokok yang terlihat sehat masih berisiko terkena penyakit atau belum tentu aman dari penyakit.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh sebab itu, Mega mengatakan kondisi fisik yang hanya terlihat dari luar tak bisa menjadi tolok ukur dan alasan untuk tetap merokok.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKadang kesadaran untuk skrining juga rendah sekali. Jadi kadang orang meninggal dikira sudah waktunya. Padahal siapa tahu dia punya penyakit tertentu misalnya jantung yang disebabkan oleh rokok,\u201d kata Mega dalam diskusi daring yang digelar oleh Kementerian Kesehatan, Jumat (16\/8\/2024).<\/p>\n<p>Mega menegaskan tidak ada satu pun jurnal kesehatan yang menyebutkan bahwa rokok itu aman dan baik bagi tubuh.<\/p>\n<p>Seorang perokok juga umumnya menjadikan orang tua sebagai alasan. Jika orang tua seperti ayah atau kakeknya merupakan perokok dan tampak sehat, maka para remaja pun merasa akan aman mengonsumsi rokok.<\/p>\n<p>Mega menjelaskan tubuh seseorang mempunyai mekanisme kompensasi yang luar biasa. Sehingga apabila terserang penyakit, tubuh tidak akan langsung tumbang dan menyerah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMisalnya gejala orang punya penyakit jantung, itu bukan tiba-tiba meninggal. Tapi dia mudah lelah. Naik tangga 2 lantai capek. Itu tanda-tanda jantung lemah. Tapi ini sering diabaikan dan dirasa memang terjadi karena faktor usia,\u201d kata Mega.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan menyadari bahwa setiap orang memiliki kemungkinan menderita penyakit yang tak terlihat, Mega mengimbau kepada para remaja untuk tak lagi menormalisasi kebiasaan merokok baik menggunakan rokok konvensional maupun elektrik.<\/p>\n<p>Tak hanya membahayakan diri sendiri, pengguna rokok khususnya remaja juga perlu untuk meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap sekitar. Sebab meski merokok di tempat lain, namun zat-zat berbahaya dari rokok akan tetap menempel di pakaian dan mungkin terhirup oleh sekitar.
