Mestinya, pada saat ini, penyelesaian pembangunan tahap satu gedung MPP itu sudah mencapai 71 persen. Namun kenyatannya, baru mencapai sekitar 60 persen.<\/p>\n<p>Wakil Bupati (Wabup) Garut Helmi Budiman merasa kecewa atas capaian pembangunan gedung MPP tersebut. Hal itu dikemukakannya usai meninjau lokasi MPP Garut belum lama ini.<\/p>\n<p>Helmi mengatakan tak mengetahui alasan sebenarnya dari keterlambatan pengerjaan pembangunan MPP Garut tersebut. &#8220;Mungkin karena kurang orang, atau karena apa,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Helmi, berkaitan keterlambatan tersebut, dirinya sudah melakukan teguran kepada Pengguna Anggaran (PA) agar bisa meningkatkan kinerja, dan menargetkan dalam 35 hari ke depan itu pembangunan tahap satu MPP Garut harus sudah rampung.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Saya minta komitmen tadi, dari mulai PA, PPK, kemudian pelaksana, pengawas kegiatan juga, selesai dalam 35 hari ini. Selesai tahap satu. Kalau sampai selesai (keseluruhan) nanti kan ada tahap dua,&#8221; kata Helmi.<\/p>\n<p>Ia menyebutkan, di gedung MPP Garut itu nantinya akan ada sebanyak 26 pelayanan. Salah satunya pembuatan paspor yang bisa diakses masyarakat. Sehingga mulai Juli 2023, warga Garut yang hendak membuat paspor tidak usah lagi mengurusnya ke Tasikmalaya atau Bandung melainkan bisa di Garut.<\/p>\n<p>Gedung MPP Garut disebut-sebut diproyeksikan menjadi ikon baru bagi Kabupaten Garut merupakan gedung MPP ke-10 dibangun di Jawa Barat dengan anggaran tahap pertama sekitar Rp7.710.097.928.<\/p>\n<p>Pembangunan tahap pertama merupakan pembangunan konstruksi bangunan dengan waktu lebih kurang tujuh bulan, mulai akhir April hingga November 2022<\/p>\n<p>Pada saat peletakan batu pertama dimulainya pembangunan MPP Garut pada 20 Juni 2022, Bupati Garut Rudy Gunawan pun sempat mengingatkan agar pembangunan gedung tersebut dilakukan serius.
