Panganan yang terbuat dari beras campur gula ini, beberapa waktu lalu omzet penjualannya cukup menggiurkan.<\/p>\n<p>Dulu, omzet penjualan yang dialami perusahaan tengteng Jembar misalnya, saban hari mampu menjual hasil produksinya sampai 250 pak. Pangsa pasar perusahaan yang berlokasi di Kampung Cicatur, Desa\/Kecamatan Bungbulang, ini pun selain di sekitaran Garut juga tembus beberapa daerah di Jawa Barat.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, ketika pandemi Covid-19 melanda setahun lalu, omzet penjualan tengteng Bungbulang mengalami kemerosotan. Akibatnya volume produksi pun jadi dikurangi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sekarang produksi tengteng yang kami hasilkan cuma 100 pak per hari. Kami juga hanya mempekerjakan beberapa orang saja demi efesiensi,&#8221; ujar Abah Ade, pemilik perusahaan tengteng Jembar ketika dihubungi Selasa (23\/2\/2021).<\/p>\n<p>Menurut dia, meski omzet penjualan tengtengnya mengalami penurunan, di benaknya tidak ada niatan sedikit pun untuk menghentikan produksi. Sebab, selain untuk tetap mempertahankan eksistensi makanan khas Bungbulang ini, juga agar dapur para pegawai tetap ngebul.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kasihan pekerja kalau produksi sampai dihentikan. Sebab, bagi pekerja yang sudah bertahun-tahun bergelut dalam pembuatan tengteng, tidak mengharapkan jika harus pindah pada bentuk pekerjaan lain. Bagi mereka tidak apa-apa penghasilan menurun, yang penting ada,&#8221; papar Ade.<\/p>\n<p>Menyoal jumlah pekerja yang dilibatkannya, ia menjelaskan kalau kini perusahaan tenteng Jembar hanya mempekerjakan empat orang saja.
