Proses awal pembebasan lahan sudah mulai dilakukan tahun ini.<\/p>\n<p>Wakil Bupati Garut Helmi Budiman, mengatakan, akhir tahun ini proyek yang berada di bawah naungan pemerintah pusat itu akan dimulai. Upaya pembebasan lahan dilakukan hingga tahun 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Di Garut, jalan tol itu direncanakan memiliki panjang 37,25 kilometer. Untuk proyek tersebut, lahan yang dibutuhkan sebanyak 475,63 hektare, dengan jumlah 3.544 bidang tanah di tujuh kecamatan (Kadungora, Leuwigoong, Leles, Banyuresmi, Karangpawitan, Garut Kota, dan Cilawu).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Untuk exit tol Garut ada dua kalau kabupaten lain dikasih satu. Pertama keluar di Banyuresmi dan kedua di Cilawu,&#8221; ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Helmi menambahkan, dengan adanya dua gerbang tol, sebaran potensi pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak hanya satu titik saja. Termasuk akses ke tempat wisata jadi lebih mudah dijangkau. Ia optimistis, tol tersebut akan mendongkrak wilayah Garut.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Masyarakat juga tidak akan mengeluhkan soal kemacetan lagi saat menuju Garut. Sekarang, kan, kalau ke Garut dari Bandung bisa 3 sampai 4 jam.
